Our restaurant offers fine, elegant and delicate cuisine. A cuisine shaped by time: the right time to respect the produce, and the necessary time for each ingredient to find its harmony. A cuisine of recognisable, sincere and traditional flavours that awaken memory and emotion that also reflect this place where I have felt at home for many years.

background
My name is Juan Carlos Ferrando. I was born in Buenos Aires, where my curiosity for cooking was awakened very early within the family home. I trained in the principles of French cuisine at the Lycée Français in my home town, but for more than two decades my professional and personal life have been closely tied to La Rioja and the Basque Country, regions I know well and that I am passionate about.















THE CHEF
career
I arrived in Spain in 2001, and Casa Masip, in Ezcaray, was my first step in the profession. This was followed by other projects and a lot of learning experiences, until, in December 2018, I fulfilled a long-held dream by opening my own restaurant with my wife, Zuriñe Ortiz.
the restaurant
The restaurant is located in Calle María Teresa Gil de Gárate, a pedestrian street in the centre of Logroño, discreetly nestled among the façades. When you walk through the door, the feeling changes to one of surprise, calm, intimacy. Everything invites you to stay. The modern and hand-crafted decor speaks the same language as the cuisine: attention to detail, personality and truth. What you see is, in fact, a preview of what you will later feel during your meal.
